Perion utilises a SubDAO model. Consensus within SubDAOs is facilitated via a voting mechanism Perion has developed called Tri-party consensus. To explain it simply Tri-party consensus gathers three key sets Perion stakeholders, giving each stakeholder equal voting capacity.

Perionā€™s governance process has been designed with throughput in-mind, much like a scaling solution the DAO has been optimised for throughput while Perion focuses on building.

Perion has 2 operating governance SubDAOs. Each SubDAO focusses on unique areas of opportunity for Perion to further its mission and expand the PERC ecosystem:

Perion previously had a Gaming SubDAO which facilitated governance of the eSports wing of Perion. A proposal for to wind-down operations for the Gaming SubDAO passed in 2023 and its operations were subsequently paused, you can view the proposal here for details.
